Grease Trap Service Operative (with Travel & Overnight Stays)

Role Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and physically strong Grease Trap Service Operative to join our team. This hands-on role involves replacing grease traps across commercial kitchens in London, cleaning units using specialist equipment, and travelling to remote sites with overnight hotel stays when needed.
You will sometimes work closely with an assistant, carrying heavy equipment and used grease traps—often up and down staircases—so a good level of physical fitness and stamina is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Replace grease traps in commercial kitchens across London
- Carry traps to and from vehicles, often via staircases, with the help of an assistant
- Operate wet vacuums and high-pressure washers to clean grease traps at various sites
- Travel to sites outside London – sometimes requiring overnight hotel stays
- Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy
- Adhere to company safety standards and customer requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Occasional weekend work depending on scheduling
Requirements:
- Physically fit and strong – this is a demanding role involving regular lifting and stair work
- Clean criminal history (required)
- Clean UK driving licence (required)
- Comfortable with early starts – working day begins from travel time to first location(potential early starts)
- Willing to work away from home on occasion (overnight hotel stays provided)
- Able to work as part of a small team and take direction
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience using wet vacs or pressure washers (preferred but not essential)
- Punctual, reliable, and hard-working attitude

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
