You will be responsible for the livestock area , but you will be part of the wider farm team and wider team on site. You may help out other people elsewhere in the group of companies.
Responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance checks
- Managing Cattle on cattle management software (Agri-Webb)
- Compiling weekly emails & gathering information for KPI meetings
- Filing and organisation of farm records (Cattle, machinery repairs, daily checks, ETC)
- Keep all governing body records up to date (Red tractor, Vet’s & BCMS)
- Setting out feeding plans & cattle movements
- Tractor & trailer work
- Telehandler work
- Stock inspections
- Manage cattle at housing
- Mucking out and disinfecting cattle sheds
- Carry out maintenance of simple repairs to cattle sheds, yard and machinery
- Work as part of a team to ensure daily routines are carried out effectively
- Carry out daily feeding
- Herding & handling of livestock
- Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications/experience
- 1 years’ experience of tractor driving (Preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience of tractor driving & telehandler (Preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience of working with livestock is essential.
- Full clean driving licence
Skills
- Computer literate with a working understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Able to work well under pressure to exacting standards
- Ability to learn new skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to follow instructions
