Job Advert

You will be responsible for the livestock area , but you will be part of the wider farm team and wider team on site. You may help out other people elsewhere in the group of companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance checks
  • Managing Cattle on cattle management software (Agri-Webb)
  • Compiling weekly emails & gathering information for KPI meetings
  • Filing and organisation of farm records (Cattle, machinery repairs, daily checks, ETC)
  • Keep all governing body records up to date (Red tractor, Vet’s & BCMS)
  • Setting out feeding plans & cattle movements
  • Tractor & trailer work
  • Telehandler work
  • Stock inspections
  • Manage cattle at housing
  • Mucking out and disinfecting cattle sheds
  • Carry out maintenance of simple repairs to cattle sheds, yard and machinery
  • Work as part of a team to ensure daily routines are carried out effectively
  • Carry out daily feeding
  • Herding & handling of livestock
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures.


Qualifications/experience

  • 1 years’ experience of tractor driving (Preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience of tractor driving & telehandler (Preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience of working with livestock is essential.
  • Full clean driving licence


Skills

  • Computer literate with a working understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Able to work well under pressure to exacting standards
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Able to work as part of a team to meet the business’ objectives
