An excellent opportunity has arisen for a young herdsperson to join our small team milking 150 high yielding pedigree Holstein cows on a modern robotic until some 3 miles from Chester. The cows are milked by three robots in a cubicle housed with mattresses and green bedding.
Work duties primarily involved looking after our calves, but will also involve general activities around the farm.
This position would ideally suit somebody who is currently studying a degree course and wishes to obtain experience in agriculture. This role will involve initiative and self motivation and you must be a good communicator and able to work as part of a team. Attention to detail, flexibility, tidiness and enthusiasm are key qualities for this role.
