Job Summary
Ballycommon seeking a dedicated and skilled Ganger for an Immediate start to oversee and coordinate activities on-site, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Ganger will be responsible for leading a team of workers, managing resources, and maintaining safety standards while delivering high-quality results. This role is vital in facilitating effective communication between management and the workforce, ensuring that project goals are met within set timelines.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate work schedules and allocate tasks to team members based on project requirements.
- Monitor the progress of work and provide guidance to team members to enhance productivity.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to management promptly for resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any incidents that occur on-site.
- Foster a positive working environment by encouraging teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with team members and management.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction or industrial environments.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in the industry is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate.
Full Time Hours, CIS Available!
Expected hours: Mon-Thu 7am-7pm Fri 7am-3:30pm
No less than 47.5 per week
Contract type: 12-18 Months
Job Requirements
CSCS NPORS
Full PPE (Hard hat, High-vis, steel cap boots) to be worn on site at all times
At-least years' worth of experience in a similar role
