Join Our Workshop Team at Chronology
Furniture Workshop Operative
We’re on the lookout for a practical, hands-on individual to join our growing team at Chronology, an independent furniture company based in Brompton-on-Swale. We specialise in rustic-style wooden furniture—think beautiful, handcrafted tables, benches, desks, bookcases, cabinets and more. Take a look at the kind of pieces we create at www.chronologystore.co.uk.
What started in a garage has grown into a busy, thriving workshop with a nationwide customer base. Each week, we ship out orders across the UK using both our own delivery vans and trusted couriers.
You’ll be joining a small, friendly, and supportive team in a modern industrial unit equipped with on-site parking, kitchen facilities, and a customer showroom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
This is a hands-on, varied role in a busy workshop environment. Tasks include:
- Sawing and cutting timber
- Joining, assembling and building furniture
- Sanding and staining wood
- Loading and unloading materials and finished items for delivery
What We’re Looking For:
You don’t need to be a qualified joiner or carpenter, but previous experience working with wood, power tools, or in a workshop or manufacturing setting is a big plus. Most importantly, we’re after motivated, reliable, hardworking individuals who take pride in producing quality work as part of a team.
