JOB ROLE: Fundraising / Resources Coordinator
- 10 hours per week
- £17- £20 per hour depending on the candidate’s fundraising experience
- Initial short-term contract with the expectation of the role extending 6-18 months.
- Freelance basis
- Church office in central Exeter
- Hybrid working
- Founding part of a new exciting team
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a fundraising strategy, including researching, writing and submitting fundraising bids.
- Effectively make applications to grants and trusts to fundraise for the church.
- Being the first point of contact for general enquiries.
- Developing and implementing strategies to cultivate engaging relationships and encounters with givers and significantly increase congregational giving.
- Managing and increasing external venue bookings.
- Carrying out general administrative duties required by UNLTD CHURCH.
Essentials for the Role
- Passionate follower of Jesus.
- Have a track record for working on projects that demand a high degree of autonomy, requiring proactive problem-solving and the ability to independently gather information.
- Have exceptional communication skills, maintain good relationships with those both internal and external to UNLTD and the parish churches.
- Able to think creatively and problem-solve in varied situations.
- Ability to work independently as well as being a team player.
- Possess an eye for detail and the ability to multitask.
- Be a natural organiser, administrator & problem-solver, methodical and able to work to tight timescales and communicate them to the Church Leader.
- Create and keep accurate records, including basic financial records.
- Proficiency in IT – able to quickly pick up new IT systems.
- Be willing to undertake any training that may be required.
- Demonstrated flexibility and resourcefulness in a dynamic, startup setting, comfortable pivoting as project requirements and team needs evolve.
