Our fabulous town centre Restaurant & Bar is looking for professional hospitality staff, with an eye for detail and a natural confidence when communicating with customers. The Whisky Café is a stylish venue with over 100 covers, with additional seating on our outside terrace and garden. Dedicated to serving globally inspired dishes and an extensive array of fine spirits and cocktails, TWC is a great place to experience the best of working within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
Greeting and seating customers. Taking food and drinks orders. Engaging with customers to ensure they get the best possible experience when choosing from the menu. Working as part of a professional team which is jointly responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Introducing customers to the menu and offering details of daily specials.
- Taking food and drink orders using a digital handheld device.
- Collecting food orders from the kitchen, verifying they are correct and then serving to customers.
- Engaging with customers during their meal to ensure we are meeting their expectations of their dining experience.
- Taking payments.
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting of tables.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experienced preferred, however, we are also able to support and train applicants with no previous experience seeking a career in the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- The ability to multitask and to keep calm whilst under pressure.
- Epos system - Full training will be given, but you must have a ‘can do’ approach to learning and optimising the benefits of IT.
- The ability to learn about the food offering, ingredients and allergens and to memorise procedures.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £8.60-£12.25 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
