**Front of House Team Barista**
An opportunity to work in Hertford Cake Co's flagship Cafe in the centre of Hertford. **Duties:**
Must be available to work weekend & weekdays across 2 to 3 days per week
- - Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- - Become a Hertford Cake Co expert to advise & upsell our products
- - Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently (both for in store & online orders)
- - Prepare and serve cakes and multiple different beverages to guests
- - Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or inquiries
- - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tables, floors & back counter
- - Upsell menu items and promote special offers to increase sales
- - Collaborate with other members of staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and serving of beverages
- - Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
- - Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
**Experience:**
- - Previous experience in food preparation or guest services is essential
- - Barista experience is preferred but not essential
- - Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy periods
- - Strong hospitality skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- - Ability to upsell menu items and make recommendations to enhance the customer experience
- - Willingness to learn and help out in various areas of the cafe as needed
- - Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- - A team player with the ability to keep morale high in the workplace between colleagues
