Job Summary
As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Your role will involve assisting with various tasks in the restaurant environment, from taking orders to upselling menu items, all while maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing transactions.
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Provide support to kitchen staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with culinary practices and food safety standards is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly disposition are essential for effective guest interaction.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude towards helping both guests and team members is highly valued.
