Thetford Garden Centre was founded in the town centre in 1982 by Jean & Paul Nixon. With no previous experience in retail or horticulture they managed to build up a thriving business.
We are looking for a permanent Shift Leader to lead our team whilst providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for supervising, leading and motivating team members on a daily basis. 4 days per week.
As a Shift Leader, you will be the contact point for all team members and customers, so your communication skills should be excellent.
Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Create a positive team environment
- Set clear team objectives and delegate tasks
- Oversee day to day operations training
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times
- Recognise high performance and reward accomplishments
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Organisational and time-management skills
- Decision-making skills
- A positive attitude
- Experience in ordering and stock control
- Working days are Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday
