Key Responsibilities
- Produce CAD designs for each new style, creating individual patterns (parts of the shoe) which will then be cut from acrylic using two in-house lasers.
- Assist with the grading of new designs each season and sending patterns to have any necessary tooling made externally.
- Send digital pattern files to an in-house automated cutting machine, ensuring that they are properly engineered to minimize any issues or delays in production.
- Ensure that any leather laser work is done in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Push urgent trials through the factory, analyse any feedback and communicate it clearly to all involved parties.
- Manage the stock of pattern & grade trials, issuing pairs out for wear trial as needed, analyse any feedback and communicate it clearly to all involved parties.
- Check all incoming last deliveries for consistency and specification.
- Assist in the setup of MTO (Made to order) products on an ERP software, creating the work ticket data and Bill of Materials.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be assigned.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education and Experience:
- CAD design qualification, degree with CAD training and/or experience in industry.
- Demonstrable experience with a CAD/CAM software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel & Outlook etc.
