This exciting role gives you the responsibility to ensure a fantastic food retail experience, focusing on the smooth running of the shop floor and fresh produce areas. You'll manage displays, merchandising, stock control, and customer demand, while inspiring and guiding a team to deliver excellent service. Role Overview:
This is a full-time position (37.25 hours per week), with alternate weekends required.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Food Hall Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and inspire a motivated Hearty’s team to provide top-tier service
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth running across all departments
- Ensure food retail merchandising standards are met, creating engaging and attractive displays
- Manage ordering and stock replenishment to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Supervise stock control processes, with a focus on date checking and reducing waste
- Work closely with the wider Garden Centre team to achieve business goals
- Maintain a high standard of food safety and handling in compliance with industry regulations
Skills & Experience Required:
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in supermarket or food retail management
- Strong leadership experience, with a history of managing and developing teams
- A solid understanding of stock control and date checking processes
- Experience in food handling (desirable)
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
