Location: Northallerton (with some travel to other NY Highways Depots in North Yorkshire)

NY Highways is looking for a dedicated Fleet Depot Supervisor to join our team and help ensure the smooth running of our Fleet operations.
“Bringing innovative solutions to the roads of North Yorkshire and beyond” We are looking for a Fleet Depot Supervisor to help with the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of our Fleet team, who can help with small maintenance on the variety of vehicles NY Highways has, ensuring the availability and compliance of plant, tools, and vehicles, while maintaining high standards of health and safety. This is a key role in supporting our operational Fleet teams and ensuring our depots run efficiently and safely.
As a Fleet Depot Supervisor, you will:
- Coordinate the movement and availability of vehicles, plant, tools and materials, driving vehicles to other depots or third-party workshops as required
- Manage stock control and ensure appropriate storage and ordering
- Conduct vehicle checks and minor repairs
- Ensure health and safety standards are met in the depot, including LOLER inspections and fire safety checks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient depot environment
What we are looking for
- Experience in depot or fleet operations
- Knowledge of plant, equipment, and vehicle maintenance
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Current driving licence and HGV (Class 2) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Experience of using a Digital Tachograph
- IT literacy (MS Word, Excel)
- Willingness to work additional hours and respond to call-outs
