Job Role
We are seeking an experienced Depot Supervisor to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations at our Rockbeare depot. This pivotal role involves managing staff and resources, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of services, including gully waste recycling, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will work closely with multiple business units and site leaseholders to foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
Duties
- Oversee daily depot operations, including gully waste recycling and site security.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of depot staff and supply chain partners.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including COSHH and Legionella controls.
- Control depot resources, including vehicle, plant, and fuel management.
- Monitor budgets and stock control, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
- Prepare and present regular performance, sustainability, and safety reports.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, leaseholders, local authorities, and neighbouring businesses.
- Coordinate maintenance, emergency responses, and site security activities.
- Drive continuous improvements to operational processes and team performance.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in depot or operational management, ideally within civil engineering or waste recycling sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
