Job Summary
Simpsons London is a bespoke furniture and mirror manufacturer and is looking for someone to join our workshop team based in Ongar, Essex. We are seeking a reliable Drive/Fitter/Bench Worker who can install our bespoke furniture on-site and assist with some benchwork in our workshop.
Duties
- Install and fit furniture and mirrors at customer locations
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Assist with bench work in our workshop
- Drive a commercial van to deliver goods to designated locations throughout the UK.
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Ability to problem-solve and work towards deadlines while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in furniture installation, bench work or in a similar role is required
- Good communication skills and customer service skills
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when loading and unloading goods
- Work independently and in a team
- Be in possession of a valid UK driving license
