Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fire Stopper, Passive Fire Protection Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing fire stopping systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work with various materials and tools.
Duties
- Install fire stopping materials in walls, floors, and ceilings to create fire-resistant barriers.
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing materials.
- Collaborate with other trades on site such as electricians, and plumbers to ensure proper integration of fire stopping systems.
- Conduct inspections of installed systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Fabricate components as needed for specific installations, ensuring precision and quality.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Document work completed and report any issues or discrepancies to the site supervisor.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or a related field is essential.
- NVQ level 2 in passive fire protection
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications and or willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
- A valid driver's licence.
