We’re seeking an Finance and Contractor Payroll Associate to join our dynamic team in the staffing industry. In this role, you will focus on payroll and finance responsibilities, and become a key member of our finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contractor Payroll processing– ownership and main point of contact for the contractor timesheet processing
- Payroll assignment loading – loading new assignments into timesheet system, ensuring that all candidates have placements who need them
- Ensure all client led invoicing requirements are acknowledged and taken in to account in client set up and processing
- Prepare contractor payroll to point of payment and review for Finance manager and Finance Director
- Liaise with umbrella companies to ensure they have the correct information for processing candidate pay
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements and training requirements
- Work closely with compliance manager to ensure adherence to requirements and proactively identify weaknesses in process.
- Preparation of draft invoices for review by credit controller
- Preparation of Commissions calculations and other information required for internal staff payroll
- Support Credit Controller and Finance Manger is aspects of their roles as required.
- Loading and allocation of invoices and bills in finance system
- Invoice finance facility reconciliation
- Xero Reconciliations – bank recs in Xero, ensuring reconciling items are clear and up to date
- External audit – support in pulling information for external audit – collating information as required for external auditors
- Finance support – general support across the finance function, involvement in month end reconciliations feeding in to management accounts
- Help ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a finance role desirable
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and financial software systems.
- Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
