We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join our Finance Team. This key role supports the company’s financial operations in line with UK legislation and FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) regulations, with a particular focus on ensuring supplier payments, client money handling, and accurate financial record-keeping via the Acturis CRM system.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process invoices, payments, and receipts in Acturis
- Reconcile bank transactions between Acturis and banking systems
- Ensure timely settlement of accounts within agreed credit terms
- Reconcile scheme bordereaux and statements, resolving discrepancies
- Monitor and manage monthly remittances and daily cash books
- Produce data reports from Acturis for internal use
- Support compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies
- Professionally handle finance-related queries and complaints
- Provide cover and support across the Finance Team as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel (intermediate level)
- Confident communicator, capable of engaging with third parties professionally
- Familiarity with FCA regulations and CASS 5 rules
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade C/4 or above), including Maths
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desirable
- Experience within insurance or financial services
- Knowledge of the Acturis CRM system
- Advanced Excel skills
- Welsh speaker or willingness to learn
- Financial qualifications (AAT, etc.)
