Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fence Erector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or agriculture and possess a variety of skills related to fencing installation. This role involves working outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, and requires physical stamina and attention to detail. The Fence Erector will be responsible for the installation of various types of fencing, ensuring that all work meets quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark fence lines according to specifications.
- Dig post holes using hand tools or power tools, ensuring proper depth and spacing.
- Install fence posts, panels, gates, and related hardware.
- Perform repairs on existing fences as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with team member to ensure efficient workflow on job sites.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the job
- Ability to use a post driver and tractor skills with clean driving licence essential.
- Knowledge of electrical work may be beneficial for installing electric fencing systems.
