Living Together Healthcare Ltd is a CQC-registered care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities in a supported living home in Oswestry. We are looking for compassionate and reliable female support workers who are drivers to join our dedicated team.
You will be supporting two young adults to live independently in their own home and access their local community. This role involves promoting choice, dignity, and independence while delivering high-quality person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and daily living support in line with individual care plans.
- Support clients to access day services, voluntary work, and community activities (escort and drive as required).
- Promote independence by encouraging skills such as meal preparation, budgeting, and self-care.
- Administer and record medication safely.
- Maintain clear and accurate records (daily notes, care plans, risk assessments).
- Participate in household tasks alongside clients, promoting independence.
- Provide emotional support and encourage social inclusion.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and CQC regulations.
- Participate in sleep-in duties on a rota basis.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive clients.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to supporting independence.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
- Experience in supported living settings.
- Training in safeguarding, medication, or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
