Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
- Drive to various locations as required for home care assignments.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems relevant to the role.
- Uphold the dignity and respect of all individuals while providing compassionate support.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to others.
