Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation in various settings, ensuring that all areas are hygienic and welcoming. This role may also involve assisting with meal preparation and food safety, making culinary skills a valuable asset.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchens and dining areas, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in meal preparation and food preparation as required, demonstrating knowledge of culinary practices.
- Organise and manage cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure that all rooms are stocked with necessary supplies such as toiletries and linens.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Basic culinary skills with knowledge of food safety practices are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help others in a fast-paced environment.
