Job overview

We are looking for an experienced Domestic Supervisor to work as part of the Facilities Department based at Macclesfield. You would be providing quality domestic support, to ensure we perform to a high standard of cleaning and domestic duties within our 5 Sites ( Mulberry, Silk, Greenways, Alderley and Saddlebridge. This position requires access to transport for work purposes.
This vacancy is Full time based on a 4 on 4 off Pattern 7am to 6.15pm and will include weekends on the rota pattern.

The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic Domestic Supervisor to join our facilities team. A successful candidate will receive full training and a uniform will be provided.

You will be required to work as part of a team and be flexible within your working approach e.g. cover for annual leave and sickness. Previous experience in a domestic environment would be advantageous, if not training will be provided.

Essential criteria
  • General Education
  • Access to transport for work purpose

  • NVQ3 in facilities management or equivalent

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential criteria
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to adhere to standards and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate well with all levels of staff and service users.
Desirable criteria
  • Ability to conduct staff appraisals 7 effective supervision
  • Knowledge of dealing with difficult situations coming to resolutions

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of supervisory / line management responsibility
  • Previous experience in dealing with general public including customer focus
  • IT literate
Desirable criteria
  • Worked in a healthcare facility within facilities services

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
