Busy fabrication shop, dealing with mainly mild steel up to 20mm. Mostly MIG with occasional TIG with Stainless Steel up to 10mm generally. We manufacture heavy duty tanks, boxes and cubicles mostly for the electrical industry.
The job is varied and not a production line. You will be expected to be flexible and be placed where the work is within the fabrication shop.
Flexible working hours by arrangement - Part time available (minimum 2 days per week).
The ideal candidate will be self-disciplined and highly motivated. Working as part of a team you will need to have excellent communication skills along with the ability to work on your own initiative. You are required to be fully conversant with the reading of engineering drawings, understand welding principles and procedures and MIG weld to a high standard that leaves a fully watertight finish. Supervisory or chargehand experience would be advantageous but not necessary.
Standard Hours:
Part time/flexible arrangement available within hours:
Monday - Thursday: 7:00 - 15:30
Friday : 7:00 - 12:00
Overtime also available.
