Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazing Contractor to join our team, responsible for executing a variety of construction and glazing projects . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in glazing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in various trades. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Construct and renovate structures, mainly consisting of glass partitioning and various glass installation according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Perform metal work for track installation
- Execute Glazing tasks as required, ensuring all installations meet regulatory standards.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various construction tasks.
- Carry out glazing channel installation duties to finish surfaces to a professional standard.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to complete projects efficiently.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Strong and able bodied to effectively manage strong manual work
Skills
- Proficient in building techniques with experience in metal work
- Strong ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics for construction projects.
- Welding skills are advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
