We are seeking a passionate and skilled experienced Dog Groomer to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Dog Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide grooming services for various breeds of dogs, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling fur.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
- Handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in lifting larger or heavier animals as needed during grooming sessions.
- Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide the best service possible.
Experience
- You must have three year or more experience in dog grooming within a salon or home based grooming.
- You must be level 3 qualified or be able to demonstrate several years of dog grooming experience to breed standard
- You are required to conduct a dog groom as part of your interview process and you should have a portfolio of grooms to show during your interview process
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Knowledge of basic veterinary care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills and listening skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential for success in this role.
