Overview
We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our “small” team of 25 staff! As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring that their experience is enjoyable and memorable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Assist with other tasks involved in running a cafe, such as food preparation, ensuring that all items are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment and support each other in daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to provide outstanding customer service.
- A willingness to help others and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
