Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our books for potential new clients in the pipeline. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in either a care home, home care setting, residential or hospital setting assisting with daily activities and ensuring the highest standard of care. This role requires effective communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Monitor and record patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Help patients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient progress.
- Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.
Skills
- Proficiency in creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Driver preferred but not essential due to location of placements
- Buccal Training
- Medication Administration
- Ligature Awareness
- Brain Injury Awareness
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable.
