About the Role
We are recruiting experienced Agency Support Workers on behalf of one of our clients based in North London they* provide compassionate, flexible support to adults living with schizophrenia and complex mental health conditions*. You will be working within supported accommodation and community outreach services to help individuals maintain independence, manage their wellbeing, and live safely in the community.
This is an on-demand role, ideal for professionals who want flexible hours while making a genuine impact in mental health care.
Main Duties
- Deliver person-centred support to clients with schizophrenia and other mental health needs.
- Promote daily living skills: cooking, cleaning, shopping, medication reminders, and attending appointments.
- Encourage service users to engage in community activities, training, or employment.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in line with support plans and training.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in a mental health, forensic, or supported living setting.
- Understanding of schizophrenia, psychosis, and trauma-informed care.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one).
- Strong communication and emotional resilience.
- Right to work in the UK.
