About this Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Exercise to Music Instructor to deliver fun, inclusive and impactful sessions for adults with a range of health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to help improve physical activity levels across the community in an energetic and supportive environment.
In this role, you will lead motivating sessions that are tailored to meet the needs of participants from all backgrounds, including those facing health or social inequalities. You will also use your platform to share positive health and wellbeing messages with the community.
As part of the Rotherham United Community Trust (RUCT) health team, you will play an important role in promoting healthy lifestyles and building relationships with participants to support long-term behaviour change.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to design and deliver engaging Exercise to Music classes that support the physical and mental wellbeing of local adults, contributing to wider RUCT health projects and helping to remove barriers to participation in physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inclusive and high-quality Exercise to Music sessions for adults with varying health needs
- Identify and reduce barriers to participation, particularly for those from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing messages during sessions
- Support the recruitment of new participants to community health projects
- Prepare and maintain relevant session resources and materials
- Carry out administration tasks including attendance registers, reports, and participant data
- Promote and raise awareness of RUCT projects
- Undertake relevant training and continuous professional development
- Contribute to ongoing project evaluation and development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across RUCT to share knowledge and best practices
- Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and quality assurance measures are followed
- Adhere to policies including equal opportunities, data protection, and financial regulations
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required within the scope of the post
Person Specification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Multilingual abilities (desirable)
- Able to build rapport and develop trusting relationships with participants

- Confident in working independently and using initiative
- Competent IT skills
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience delivering Exercise to Music sessions
- At least 2 years of experience working in the health or wellbeing sector
Qualifications
- Level 2 Exercise to Music qualification (essential)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- FA Safeguarding, First Aid, and DBS certification (can be completed on appointment)

Pay: £13.00 per hour
