Are you a highly organised and proactive professional looking to make a significant impact?

We are seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer permanent full time, 37 hours a week.

The role is primarily office based with flexible home working arrangements based on business needs.


Main Responsibilities

We are looking to appoint an experienced Executive Support Officer with a 'can do' attitude to join the team.

You will work closely with our Senior Leadership/Wider Leadership Teams, providing an exceptional level of support and regularly engage with other areas of the Council.

Some of your responsibilities will include:-

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Leadership Team/Wider Leadership Team.
  • Manage and maintain appointments, meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Coordinate and organise meetings, including preparing agendas and taking action notes/minutes.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as required.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to have,

  • Proven experience in an executive support or similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Proactive mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A 'can do' attitude to join the team
  • Experience in taking action notes of meetings, some of these being in-house and multi-agency meetings.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
