Executive Assistant
Are you an experienced Executive Assistant with a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and local authority policy? We’re seeking a highly organised and discreet professional to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO.
Role Overview
As Executive Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the CEO by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and ensuring that all activities align with internal governance standards and policies. You’ll be a trusted point of contact, helping to maintain operational efficiency and uphold compliance across all administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO and Executives leadership team, including diary management, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
- Prepare, proofread, and manage confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure all administrative processes comply with governance and policy frameworks.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on actions to ensure timely delivery of key projects.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with data protection and compliance standards.
- Support the preparation and coordination of committee papers, briefings, and governance reports.
- Assist with the implementation of internal policies and procedures.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally with some experience within a local authority or public sector environment.
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and local authority policy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint).
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Working arrangements
Salary: £50,000
Location: Dagenham
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (3 - 6 months, with potential to extend) - Immediate start.
Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week.
