Executive Assistant (EA)
Location: Heathfield, East Sussex (TN21) – Hybrid (Combination of home-based and on-site support)
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday – flexible working pattern
Salary: Competitive, hourly rate of between £16 and £17 per hour, depending on experience
About the Role
We are recruiting for a proactive, highly organised Executive Assistant (EA) to support the wife of a gentleman living with a brain injury, who receives 24/7 care at home. This is a unique and rewarding role for someone who is practical, dependable, and can confidently provide a blend of administrative and household support.
You will work closely with the family to ensure smooth running of day-to-day life, providing both remote and in-person support across a wide range of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Diary and Schedule Support:
Assist with planning and coordinating appointments, meetings, and household activities- Manage reminders and ensure follow-through on family and household commitments
- Diary and email management as required.
Household Organisation:
Coordinate routine maintenance, liaise with contractors and service provider- Ensure household supplies are stocked, including managing food shops and placing accurate orders
- Monitor and maintain records of household tasks and errands
General Assistance:
Provide hands-on support where needed, from running errands to helping with basic admin tasks- Assist in managing logistics around the care team and family schedule
- Be a trusted, discreet point of contact to support the family’s needs
- Support with holiday arrangements as required
Person Specification
Essential:
Previous experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or similar support role- Highly organised and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- A flexible, can-do attitude – able to adapt to changing needs day to day
- Confident working independently and taking initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Emotionally intelligent and able to maintain appropriate boundaries
- Driver with own vehicle
- Discretion and trustworthiness are vital
- Proficient in Microsoft office
Desirable:
Experience supporting individuals in private households or with caregiving exposure- Understanding and appreciation of the challenges of supporting a family where a member receives complex 24/7 care
- Familiarity with coordinating care or medical-related appointments
Working Pattern & Flexibility
Hybrid role with a combination of working from home and the family’s home in Heathfield- Up to 30 hours per week across Monday to Friday
