This role is based in our central Manchester office and the salary for the role is £23,500 per annum.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Coordination and Support
- Assist in the planning and delivery of major events, such as the NRLA Annual Conference, supporting logistical arrangements and ensuring smooth execution.
- Help organise and run smaller-scale events, including webinars, regional meetings, and local in-person events.
- Support the events team in tracking timelines, tasks, and budgets to help ensure events run efficiently and meet key milestones.
Venue and Logstics Support
- Assist in sourcing and booking venues, ensuring they meet NRLA requirements including layout, accessibility, catering, and health & safety standards.
- Attend events across the UK to assist with setup, on-site coordination, and general support as needed.
Communications and Marketing Support
- Help prepare briefing documents and event information packs for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the marketing team by providing key event details for use in promotional materials, email campaigns, and website listings.
- Support efforts to drive attendance and engagement among members and wider audiences.
Post-Event Reporting and Evaluation
- Contribute to post-event evaluations by gathering feedback and data to help assess success and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of event costs, logistics, and key outcomes.
Regional Support and Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the regional teams to help plan and deliver local events and network meetings.
- Provide administrative support to regional teams, assisting with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
General Responsibilities
- Stay informed about the NRLA’s overall event strategy and any changes that may affect event planning or delivery.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities to grow your skills in event management.
- Uphold NRLA values and maintain a professional, proactive approach in all activities.

- Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- A sense of humour and a positive outlook – especially useful when working on high-profile or time-sensitive events
- Willingness and ability to travel to events across the UK, including Manchester and London
Desirable
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car (helpful but not essential)
