Job Title: Evening Caregiver
Responsible to: Registered Manager
Location: Harrogate, Wetherby and Ripon Area

Purpose of the position:
- To provide high quality home care services that support the rights of Clients to live the lives they choose as far as they are able.
- Responsible for the continuity of care for Clients, ensuring all visits are one time and to the highest quality.
Main Duties
- Providing companionship and building relationships
- Assisting with personal care (showering, bathing, toileting)
- Aiding with mobility around the home and outings
- Administering medication
- Light housework and food shopping
- Develop and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that all aspects of their care are addressed.
- Assist with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies, employing first aid techniques when required.
- Document daily activities and any changes in client condition accurately.
Other Responsibilities
- Positive working relationship with management team, Caregivers, clients and any other persons involved in the care and support of an individual
- Attend Staff Meetings as scheduled, as and when required.
- Support the effective resolution of team conflicts.
- Support a work atmosphere which promotes a high quality of work life.
- Support and maintain a culture of performance and excellence.
Experience / Knowledge
- Experience in adult residential services / care
- An understanding of the Care Act, CQC’s Essential Standards and other relevant standards
- An understanding of the uniqueness of providing a tailored home care service
- An understanding of health and safety and data protections requirements and legislation
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or hospice care is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of medication administration and first aid practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial traits for this role.
- Ability to follow care plans meticulously while being flexible to adapt to changing client needs.
- Must be physically capable of assisting clients with mobility and personal care tasks.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the location of service provision.

- Able to take ownership for the effective delivery of all care plans
- Able to form working relationships with ease and work positively with the management team to maximise service delivery
- Exercises compliance to various requirements
- Committed to safeguarding and demonstrates confidence to speak up
- Ability to work without direct supervision

- Able to demonstrate a responsibility to minimising legal risks by ensuring policies/procedures and all legislative and registration requirements are adhered to
