Estate Caretaker
£25,486 per annum + Benefits

At Curo, we take pride in creating clean, safe places where people want to live. Our estates and shared areas are the first thing residents see when they come home. We need people who care about making that first impression count.
This varied role puts you at the heart of our communities. You'll be based on one of our larger estates four days a week, with one day working as part of the wider team. You'll keep shared spaces welcoming while taking on basic maintenance tasks and supporting residents. You'll meet our residents along the way and make their surroundings cleaner and safer each day.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as the contact point on site f3or colleagues, contractors and residents
- Basic maintenance tasks such as repairing bin stores, putting up signs and noticeboards
- Spot and report any repairs or health and safety concerns to the right teams
- Taking photographs and completing records using our mobile app systems
- Clearing household waste and litter picking to keep estate areas clean and debris-free
- Cleaning shared areas including stairwells, entrances, common spaces and bin areas
- Working independently most of the time with weekly team meetings

More about you
Essential:
- A full UK driving licence as you'll drive a Curo van between locations
- Experience working with customers in challenging situations
- Strong resilience and adaptability when dealing with difficult circumstances
- Ability to work independently and make decisions on your own
- Flexible attitude and willingness to take on varied tasks
- Strong attention to detail in your work
- Self-motivated with excellent planning skills
- Comfortable using mobile devices and technology for photos and records
- Comfortable with physical demands and being on your feet throughout the day
Desirable:
- Previous experience in caretaking, cleaning or grounds maintenance
- Experience working in challenging community environments
- Knowledge of health and safety practices when using equipment
- Basic maintenance or DIY skills
