Intech Centre has been operating since 1999, in Islington and we have been providing funded and private training, careers advice and examination services to thousands of adults every year. We are looking for ESOL Tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, or vulnerable learners in London.
We are seeking part-time ESOL Tutors to join our amazing, dedicated, and outstanding team.
The ideal candidate must have experience in the design and delivery of training to adult candidates, the ability to communicate well with customers of all levels and ethnic backgrounds whilst holding an awareness & understanding of the workings of the UK job market.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Design and deliver ESOL classes to adults aged 19+ to help them improve their English language skills, stay motivated and retain them in the programme
· Have tools to carry out Diagnostics to help us determine learners’ levels
· Embed Employability Skills and terms into learning to help learners be more familiar with the employment market requirements. You must embed English for Employment, CV writing, interview skills, job search and job applications to every session
· Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the learners’ progress
· Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
· Carry out administrative task required by the role
· Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to develop personalised learning plans.
Requirements:
· Professional Teaching Qualifications (for e.g. CELTA, TEFL, TESOL)
· Experience working with adults
· Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
Opening hours: Mon-Fri 9:30am - 6:00pm and Sat 10:00 - 2:00pm
