The Role
This role is based within the Employability Hub Team, part of NHS Lanarkshire’s Human Resources Directorate. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Employability Advisor/Job Coach Lead to support the development and delivery of employability initiatives and supporting redeployees within the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Employability
- Supporting the operational management of NHS Lanarkshire’s
- Employability programmes
- Apprenticeship programmes, including Foundation (FA), Modern (MA), and Graduate Apprenticeships (GA)
- Providing job coaching to individuals participating in employability programmes, including supporting their line managers as required.
- Offering advice and support to NHS Lanarkshire managers, and liaising with external partners and agencies to facilitate the successful development and implementation of employability initiatives across all NHS Lanarkshire sites and services
Redeployment
- Tailored Training Programmes – Support tailored training programmes, develop personalised training plans on individual skills, experience and career aspirations.
- Mentorship & Coaching – facilitate the pairing of redeployed staff with other experienced staff to support their transition.
- Regular feedback & adaptation – gather insights from participants and adjust the training plans according to improve effectiveness
- Wellbeing & Support Services – incorporate mental health and wellbeing support to ensure a holistic approach to career transition

What we'll need you to bring
- Educated to SCQF Level 8 or equivalent knowledge of Job Coaching subject Or the following experience
- Experience of working in a job coach position within employability programme's in a large sector organisation
- Experience of working in partnership
- Experience interpreting complex information
- Experience managing own workload efficiently and effectively
- An understanding of inequalities and wider determinants of health
- Intermediate IT Skills across MS Office and Internet based platforms.
- Proficient keyboard skills.
- Excellent interpersonal/Customer Care/communication skills in dealing with a diverse range of people, some who may have different cultures and needs.
- Understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and sensitivity and to safeguard information.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Excellent team working skills
- Car Driver with valid UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence is desirable
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
- Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Qualification
- Experience of redeployment services
- Experience of creating and supporting personalised tailored training programme's based on individual skills, experience and career aspirations.
- Experience of mentorships and coaching.
- Knowledge of wellbeing and support services available incorporating ensuring a holistic approach to career transition.

This role will be based in Kirkfield Cottage within Kirklands Headquarters, Bothwell.
