NiceSmile is a team of creative professionals started in 2003 by London photographer Steve Mussell. Our mission is to reinvent school and nursery photography, re-birthing it in a fresh, cutting-edge, contemporary style. Alongside NiceSmile, our group also includes:
- Illuumin.com – a fast-growing online course teaching aspiring photographers how to build a career out of their passion
- PhotoLlama – our nursery photography brand capturing genuine childhood moments with a fun, creative touch
We’re not just a photography company. We’re building a creative ecosystem, from capturing the shot to launching careers in the industry. We’re now looking for a part-time freelance Email Marketer to support us across all brands and help us better engage our audiences.
The Role
We’re looking for a creative and strategic Email Marketer to plan, write, and manage email campaigns across our brands: NiceSmile, Illuumin, and PhotoLlama. You’ll be working directly with the leadership and marketing teams to create sequences that speak to our diverse audiences, from parents booking school photos, to creatives investing in their education, to tech users exploring new photography tools.
The ideal person for this role can think commercially and creatively, with a strong grasp of audience segmentation, conversion copywriting, and email analytics. If you love storytelling, sales psychology, and the idea of growing multiple creative brands at once, this one’s for you.
This role is fully remote, and we are open to applicants worldwide.
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent written English (native or near-native level)
- 3+ years experience in email marketing (campaigns, automation, and strategy)
- Ability to write for different tones for the 3 brands
- Experience using email platforms like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or similar
- A good understanding of sales funnels, customer journeys, and behavioral triggers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple brand calendars
- Bonus: background in e-learningand/or photography
Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan and write email sequences (nurture flows, abandoned cart, post-purchase, newsletter, etc.)
- Design or brief simple templates (we’re not looking for fancy graphics – clarity wins)
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align email campaigns with launches, offers, or seasonal peaks
- Maintain clean contact lists and segmentation across brands
- Track campaign performance and recommend improvements
- Suggest new ideas to boost engagement and conversions across different audiences
