- Address safety topics in all group meetings.
- Carry out inspections and observations by establishing a regular inspection regime for the work area and a safety observation process for ongoing tasks.
- Lead these activities in accordance with any policies, requirements, or guidance set out within your business unit, group, or division.
- Engage all NAES colleagues in these activities.
- Analyse findings, raise work orders, and provide training and education to eliminate hazards, address at-risk behaviours, and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety observation tours of high-risk activities (e.g., confined spaces) to verify employees are following safe practices, company procedures, and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Hold one-to-one discussions with direct reports to talk through safety concerns, communicate expectations, and coach safe behaviours.
