Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee ECO4/GBIS Surveyor, a candidate who has just passed RA Training would be ideal with some sales experience. In this entry-level role, you will learn how to conduct property surveys for the Government’s ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation) and GBIS (Great British Insulation Scheme) programs, supporting households to improve their energy efficiency. You’ll receive hands-on training from experienced surveyors, gaining valuable skills in energy assessment, technical reporting, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced surveyors in carrying out property surveys for ECO4 and GBIS schemes.
- Learn to collect detailed data on building fabric, heating systems, insulation, and ventilation.
- Accurately record property measurements, photographic evidence, and occupant details.
- Support the production of technical reports and recommendations for eligible energy-saving measures.
- Communicate professionally and clearly with customers, explaining the purpose and benefits of the survey.
- Ensure all work complies with scheme guidelines, company policies, and health & safety procedures.
- Attend training sessions and keep up to date with the latest guidance on ECO4/GBIS regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative tasks as required.
Experience & Skills Required
- Some surveying experience required or RA Training would be ideal
- Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, or property/building services is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed (full UK driving licence desirable).
