Overview
At Little Twinkles Childcare, we pride ourselves in providing a warm, home-from-home environment where children are nurtured and encouraged to grow, explore and develop through play. We are currently expanding and looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team in our baby and toddler room (ages 0–2).
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and caring practitioner who genuinely loves working with babies and toddlers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and a creative, child-led approach to learning — especially one who isn’t afraid to get stuck into messy play!
Duties
- Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children aged 0–2 years
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS, including sensory and messy play
- Build strong relationships with children and their families, promoting a positive and inclusive environment
- Work effectively within a team to support children’s development and wellbeing
- Carry out observations, assessments and maintain accurate records of children’s progress
- Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment at all times
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, carers and colleagues
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
- Experience working with babies and toddlers (0–2 years)
- Passion for child-led learning, messy play and creativity
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A nurturing, patient and playful personality
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Safeguarding Training certification
Hours
- 25/30 Hours Per Week (Hours can be negotiated for the right candidate)
