We are RSPCA Essex Mid & North Branch, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of animals through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming. To help raise vital funds for our work, we are expanding our online selling presence and are looking for a motivated and organised individual to support our eCommerce operations.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented E-Commerce Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of online marketing strategies and have experience in managing e-commerce platforms. This role requires excellent communication skills in English, a flair for copywriting, and the ability to effectively market products across various digital channels. As an E-Commerce Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving online sales and enhancing our brand presence.
Working Pattern:
Ideally, we are looking for someone to work 4 hours per day, five days per week. We are flexible about this , so long as it meets our business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- List items for sale on various online selling platforms, including eBay, by photographing products, writing detailed descriptions, and setting appropriate prices.
- Research and identify high-value or collectible donations.
- Monitor listings, answer buyer queries, and manage offers and auctions.
- Package and dispatch sold items in a timely manner, ensuring good customer
- experience.
- Maintain accurate stock records and sales data.
- Work closely with the line manager to select suitable items for online sale
- Monitor feedback and maintain excellent seller ratings.
- Suggest improvements to increase online sales and visibility.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience selling on eBay or similar platforms.
- Good IT skills and confidence using online systems (including Excel).
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to photograph items clearly and professionally.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively.
- Reliable and trustworthy with a positive attitude.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Knowledge of vintage, designer, or collectible items.
- Experience in retail, stock management, or working with charities.
- Basic understanding of postal services.
