Join Our Team as a Dry Goods Assistant
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic warehouse environment? We’re looking for a Dry Goods Assistant to join our team in Attleborough. In this essential role, you’ll support the smooth running of our stores and warehouse operations, ensuring that stock is managed efficiently and safely to meet production needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Unload and safely handle deliveries of goods.
- Store commodities in an organised, safe, and efficient manner.
- Use the Defacto system to generate labels, record stock, and manage inventory.
- Book in goods and confirm receipt, checking for quality and quantity.
- Prepare and dispatch requisitions for internal departments and farm operations.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and comply with all HSE procedures.
- Assist with monthly and annual stock takes.
What We’re Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in warehouse operations (receiving, picking, packing, dispatching).
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, barcode scanners).
- High attention to detail and strong numeracy/literacy skills.
- Team player with good communication and a proactive attitude.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
Desirable:
- Forklift licence.
- Familiarity with the Defacto system.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
