Responsibilities
- Operate waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collect waste from designated areas and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials, including operating flatbed vehicles when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and deliveries as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with experience in commercial driving; delivery driver experience is highly advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred for basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding operational processes.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and the public effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
