Summary
As a Domestic Abuse Support Accommodation professional at Threshold DAS, you will play a vital role in offering safe and supportive housing solutions for individuals escaping domestic violence. This position is crucial in helping clients navigate their journey towards recovery and empowerment.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe accommodation for individuals fleeing domestic abuse situations.
- Assist clients in accessing necessary resources and support services.
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters healing and recovery.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Facilitate workshops or support groups aimed at empowering residents.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
Requirements
- Experience working with women experiencing Domestic Abuse.
- Experience working with children is preferred but not essentail .
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with clients.
- Knowledge of domestic abuse issues and available resources.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
