Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to help launch a brand new dog salon in Camberwell (SE5) London. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that leave our furry clients looking and feeling their best.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options, care tips, and any concerns regarding their pets.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised after each use.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during the grooming process.
- Assist in lifting larger pets when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.
Skills
- Previous veterinary experience is advantageous but not essential; a strong understanding of animal care is crucial.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners and ensure repeat business.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when managing larger breeds or multiple pets during grooming sessions.
- Strong attention to detail in grooming techniques to achieve desired results while prioritising the well-being of the animals.
