What you'll do
As the Digital Marketing Lead at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for leading and optimising digital marketing strategies across various channels such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360, Apple Search Ads, and Affiliate marketing via the CJ platform. With oversight of annual budgets exceeding £5M, you will drive performance, innovation, and best-in-class execution in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Your role will involve developing and executing test and learn agendas to enhance performance, aligning digital activation with campaigns and commercial goals, and overseeing campaign setup, optimisation, and execution to ensure technical accuracy. Additionally, you will manage a team of offshore colleagues, collaborate with internal and external partners, and contribute to the overall success of the digital marketing initiatives at Sainsbury's.
Who you are
As a Digital Marketing Lead at Sainsbury's, you are a seasoned professional with hands-on experience in digital performance marketing, particularly within the ecommerce, fashion, or retail sectors. Your deep expertise in managing multi-million pound budgets and driving performance KPIs, coupled with your knowledge of key platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and SA360, positions you to lead activation and optimisation across various digital marketing channels. With a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach, you excel in aligning digital activation with commercial goals, driving campaign measurement and performance analysis, and fostering cross-functional relationships within a fast-paced and dynamic organisation. Your commercial awareness, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to learn and adapt make you a valuable asset in delivering best-in-class digital marketing strategies and execution.
Essential criteria:
- Experience in digital performance marketing, Proven experience in marketing across ecommerce, fashion, or retail.
- Knowledge of key platforms: Strong experience in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360, Apple Search Ads, and CJ affiliate platform.
- Budgeting knowledge: Experience managing multi-million pound budgets and achieving performance KPIs.
- Digital tracking and analytics: Experience in tagging, UTM, and cookies.
