Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team at Starel. This role is essential for ensuring that our slabs are delivered safely and efficiently to our customers (fabricators). Slab warehouse is located in Woolston, Southampton where stone slabs are loaded on to the Van.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport stone slabs and crates to various locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring safe handling and adherence to weight limits.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the delivery van.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
