Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required while ensuring items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any discrepancies.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading of deliveries and efficient handling of goods.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions during the delivery process.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with health regulations.
